Lucky to live on the rock- Such variety in what we can do!




I sometimes moan that there is nothing to do here but must admit I need to bite my tongue a little. This weekend has been an amazing adventure and we have got up to so much. We are so lucky to live on an island surrounded by sea. An island that has so much hidden beauty, treasure, and history. Sometimes you just need to adventure out there a little or enjoy the small things.

This long Easter Weekend we got up to so much and everything was so different from each other. My son really did have the time of his life, such adventure, and memories

Beaching it
We went beaching it! Yep on the beach in April, my favourite time of the year. What better way to spend the public holiday than a picnic on a beach. The weather was just fantastic. A picnic basket, some toys, and a breathtaking view....The beach was actually packed.

We went to an easter egg hunt at Grigenti Farm- It was so well planned and fun. Being so close too nature and animals is special, kids do really enjoy experiencing this

Where has time gone? Ok seriously, where has time gone? In two weeks my little one will be celebrating his 1st birthday. OMG...1 Year old, I can't believe it! Where to eat on the rock with small kids? The question that anyone with kids at sometimes faces, 'Where shall we go to eat?'. On the whole I am a foodie, love trying new things. However, when one has kids, you really need to rethink where to go. Firstly I feel really guilty taking kids to a restaurant, especially at night.  My mentality is that people are there to relax and the last thing they feel like are kids. Secondly, kids get bored...so when we do have to go out to eat for someone's birthday or a special event, mummy mode steps in and I go through a list of things a restaurant should have to ensure my son is comfortable and I won't bother people. This includes space to keep the buggy and place where I can maneuver with a buggy. Space/kiddy room/pjazzas are a must, so if sitting outside he can run around and not bother people. New to the blog world

So here i am actually doing this! I have been thinking about this for a while. As a new mum so many things go through your mind at one time and I just want to keep track of it all, granted in a very public fashion. Then again, the past few months have been such a learning curve, why not share this knowledge with others who might be going through the same thing. I must admit, I was inspired by mummyshorts and her blog - Such a great mum and blogger and my friend Caroline grima- Caro styling. Her little blog started from her just jotting down her experiences and it has really grown. I also was at a conference this weekend and an amazing motivational speaker, Jim Lawless spoke about taming our tigers- Basically in short its about answering this inner tiger that we have that always tells us not to do something.
