Lucky to live on the rock- Such variety in what we can do! I sometimes moan that there is nothing to do here but must admit I need to bite my tongue a little. This weekend has been an amazing adventure and we have got up to so much. We are so lucky to live on an island surrounded by sea. An island that has so much hidden beauty, treasure, and history. Sometimes you just need to adventure out there a little or enjoy the small things. This long Easter Weekend we got up to so much and everything was so different from each other. My son really did have the time of his life, such adventure, and memories Beaching it We went beaching it! Yep on the beach in April, my favourite time of the year. What better way to spend the public holiday than a picnic on a beach. The weather was just fantastic. A picnic basket, some toys, and a breathtaking view....The beach was actually packed. Relaxing on the beach with a Spritz Playing in the sand ...

Where to eat on the rock with small kids? The question that anyone with kids at sometimes faces, 'Where shall we go to eat?'. On the whole I am a foodie, love trying new things. However, when one has kids, you really need to rethink where to go. Firstly I feel really guilty taking kids to a restaurant, especially at night.  My mentality is that people are there to relax and the last thing they feel like are kids. Secondly, kids get bored...so when we do have to go out to eat for someone's birthday or a special event, mummy mode steps in and I go through a list of things a restaurant should have to ensure my son is comfortable and I won't bother people. This includes space to keep the buggy and place where I can maneuver with a buggy. Space/kiddy room/pjazzas are a must, so if sitting outside he can run around and not bother people.
